Please publish this story on the Incredible Milano Italian Architect Raffaele Funaro.
I think people need to know about this great man and his work! His last great work was this house on Kensington Crescent in lower Caulfield. A rare almost 1 acre perfect beautiful ocean view lot. He passed away only a few months before it completed!
I think it’s very important to share his story and legacy because in Vancouver for Architects we have Arthur Erickson now deceased. We have James Cheng and Raffaele Funaro was in my opinion, the Italian version of Arthur Erickson.
He ran a small design based studio located in Burnaby BC which is still in operation.
Raffaele Funaro completed his Bachelor of Science (Architecture) with First Class Honors, from the University of Milan in 1966.
I very much wish I could have met him!
