Set in the ambience of a classical Italian villa, La Terrazza Restaurant, is all about warmth, comfort, elegance, and authentic culinary experiences. Wine lovers will be enticed by La Terrazza’s award wining wine list and our unique Enoteca, a wine cellar and private dining room seating up to 22 people suitable for celebratory dinners or corporate functions. Terrace private room can host up to 55 seated guests for any group a little larger, wanting an intimate space. Situated near the water, and an easy stroll from the downtown core, we are also steps away from the new Yaletown Canada Line Station.
Marco Polo: Giulio Miceli have you ever all the time had a ardour for meals and cooking? And in that case, how did you uncover this ardour?
Giulio Miceli: My ardour initiated from my parent’s influence who immigrated from Calabria, Italy in the early 1960s. My mother taught me how to cook traditional Italian Cuisine at a very young age and my father got me involved in his home winemaking endeavours, which sparked my passion for wine.
Marco Polo: How and why did you open La Terrazza Restaurant?
Giulio Miceli: Love of food and wine and wanting to give Vancouverites an Authentic Italian dining experience.
Marco Polo: What are the ingredients that make an Italian restaurant truly contemporary in Vancouver today?
Giulio Miceli: The organic ingredients that made The Mediterranean Cuisine famous throughout the world. Fresh herbs, vine ripened tomatoes, foraged mushrooms and vegetables, free run meats and fresh local seafood.
Marco Polo: What’s the heart, soul and inspiration behind your dishes?
Giulio Miceli: Traditional authentic dishes using the highest quality products available from the Italian culinary landscape. Dishes that are simplistic in execution, elegant in presentation and abundant in flavour.
