Members Confratellanza Italo-Canadese Christmas Party 2018

Confratellanza Italo-Canadese had their Annual Members of Directors Banquet on Saturday December 1st. 2018 at La Trattoria Italian Cultural Centre.
“I’d like to welcome everyone to our annual member’s Christmas party. We are grateful to be here with friends and family to celebrate this blessed holiday.
I want to take a moment to recognize our executive and directors who were instrumental to our successful events this year including the picnic (John Cimino and his Festa Committee), boxing event (Pat Holmes) and the Columbus Banquet (Rob Casanova and his committee). Special Thanks goes out to Santa’s little helper, Dale Deluca for organizing the children’s gifts. We will again be having a great dinner tonight, thanks to Fabio and his staff here at the Italian Centre. I’d like to thank John Cimino and his festa committee, Lui DeLuca, Gary Chalmers, Joe Rea and Rob Aiello for organizing tonight’s event. Later this evening we will be having music and dancing and I understand a special guest is flying in from the North pole to help the kids celebrate. Wishing you all a joyous and Merry Christmas surrounded by your friends and family. May you all have peace, love and good health. Buon Natale e Felice Anno a tutti!” declared in his speech the president Bruno Tassone. The highlight for the children was the appearance of Santa Claus and his helpers who doled out scores of gifts to the excited but well-behaved children. The Confratellanza Italo-Canadese, with its roots deep in the history of Vancouver’s original Italian societies, is Vancouver’s oldest fraternal organization. Presently, it is enjoying a resurgence of interest by young Italian Canadians which in itself bodes well for the next generation of members.
